We are all painfully aware that South Africa has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the world and as a company you can be part of the solution, by sponsoring a learnership.

Learnerships are structured programmes combining theory and practical work experience over a period of 12 months. At the end of this period, a learner can obtain an NQF level qualification as well as have accumulated workplace experience.

HCI specialises in the recruitment, training and placement (RTP) of unemployed learners for learnership programmes. We recruit both those living with disabilities and those who do not, across all races and genders in accordance with our client’s demographic needs in order to meet their EAP targets.

We are particularly proud of the learnership projects we run in rural areas. These learnerships provide opportunities to the youth of these communities that would not otherwise have opportunities. We are privileged to witness learners as well as their family’s lives being changed thanks to clients sponsoring a learnership.

HCI is able to assist you with SETA grants which can assist your company in funding various training programmes.

SOME OF THE BENEFITS TO SPONSORING A LEARNERSHIP ARE:

  • SARS offers a tax incentive for sponsoring a learnership for those living with disabilities and those who do not.
  • SARS also offers a tax rebate of R1000.00 per young person per month your company employs.
  • Unemployed learners can be hosted by companies for their workplace experience at no cost to the host company as the learner is gaining workplace experience.
